Scoring Categories
Wingspan is scored once, at the end of the game, by adding up six categories (seven with the Oceania expansion). The scoring pad in the box follows the same order as the categories below, so you can read the totals straight off your player mat.
Birds
Number input · min 0
Add the feather value printed on every bird in your three habitats.
Bonus Cards
Number input · min 0
Score each bonus card you hold according to its own condition — some pay a flat amount once you meet a threshold, others pay per qualifying bird.
End-of-Round

Points you earned on the end-of-round goal board across all four rounds. Check whether you played the green side (players ranked on each goal; 1st, 2nd and 3rd score the printed points) or the blue side (1 point per item, up to 5).
Eggs

1 point for every egg still sitting on your birds.
Food on Cards

1 point for every food token cached on a bird card. Food left in your personal supply scores nothing.
Tucked Cards

1 point for every card tucked under your birds.
Nectar

Oceania only: in each habitat, the player who spent the most nectar there scores 5 points and second place scores 2. Tied players add the points for their places and split them, rounded down.
Common scoring mistakes
- Counting food in your supply instead of only food cached on bird cards.
- Forgetting the end-of-round goal points that were marked on the goal board during the game.
- Breaking a tie by the wrong rule — the player with more unused food tokens wins.
