Scoring Categories
Brass: Birmingham is scored twice — at the end of the canal era and at the end of the rail era. Only flipped (used) industry tiles score, and every link you built scores for the locations it connects.

At the end of the canal era, each of your canal links scores 1 point for every link icon in the two locations it connects. Canal links are then removed from the board.
Rail Era Industry VP

At the end of the rail era, the points on each of your flipped industry tiles — including canal-era tiles still on the board.

Common scoring mistakes
- Scoring industry tiles that were never flipped.
- Forgetting that level 1 tiles are removed at the end of the canal era, so they don't score again in the rail era.
- Scoring rail-era industries without the canal-era tiles that are still on the board.
